  • A Registered Line Technician (RLT) is a behavior technician registered with the state of Louisiana who provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services under the supervision and guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RLTs implement individualized treatment plans, support skill development, and help children practice meaningful skills across daily activities and environments.

  • RLTs implement individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA. They support skill development, communication, independence, social skills, and behavior goals through structured and natural learning opportunities.

  • RLT services may be provided in a child’s home or daycare settings depending on the child’s needs and treatment plan.

  • Previous ABA experience is preferred but not always required. Training and support are provided for qualified candidates who are eager to learn and work with children.

  • RLTs work directly with clients through play, daily routines, learning activities, and skill-building opportunities while implementing individualized treatment plans.

  • Yes. RLTs receive ongoing training, support, and supervision from a BCBA to ensure quality care and professional growth.

    • Must be 18 years of age or older

    • Must pass a background check and required screenings

    • Must meet requirements for Louisiana RLT registration

    • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to client locations

    • Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable working with children

    • Must be able to complete required training and ongoing supervision

    • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and supervisors

    • Previous experience working with children, ABA, education, childcare, or related fields is preferred but not required
